Embryo Freezing

Embryos are microscopic babies, that are formed after the zygote, formed from the union of the egg and sperm, start to divide into many cells. Embryos can be frozen because of many reasons

1. When extra embryos are formed during your IVF cycle: Due to our high ethical standards, we at Vita Fertility Clinic transfer only between 1 and 3 embryos. If you have embryos more than the number that can be transferred in a cycle, we can freeze them for later use, in case the first cycle is unsuccessful or in case you want to come back to us in a few years to to gift a sibling to your child.

2. Freeze All:  In this case we intentionally freeze all the embryos, instead of transferring them, in order to improve your success rates. Click here to learn more about it

3. Prior to treatment of malignant disease: Radiation and Chemotherapy can cause irreversible damage to ovaries and eggs, making it impossible to bear children. Embryo freezing is the ray of hope for young women with cancers, allowing them to postpone motherhood to a later date, after treating their cancer.

4. Ticking Biological Clock: Social reasons such as late marriages, job opportunities etc, are some of the other reasons why you may consider freezing your embryos at Vita Fertility Clinic
